Festive Wine and Food Tasting Masterclass
Watch our virtual festive wine and food tasting masterclass hosted by our Executive Chef, Peter Fiori and Tom Gilbey, Founder, The Vinter on Friday 13 November.
Sample four festive tipples
Tom Gilbey, long-time supplier of the Coutts dining rooms, will be exploring four delightful wines:
- Harrow and Hope NV Brut Rosé, Marlow, England
- Viognier ‘Les Vignes d’a Cote’, Yves Cuilleron
- Rosso di Montalcino ‘La Mannella’, Cortonesi
- Samos Vin Doux de Liquer, Greece
Enjoy the wines whilst cooking with Peter
Last year, Peter created our ‘From harvest to plate’ Skyline Garden Cookbook which features recipes using the fruit and vegetables harvested from our rooftop. As part of this, we partnered with food surplus charity The Felix Project, which provides fresh food to vulnerable people across London, and for every book we sell, we donate the entire £40 cost of the book to The Felix Project. Coutts Current Account holders can order copies of the book by calling Coutts 24 on 020 7957 2424, who’ll arrange for £40 to be transferred from your account to The Felix Project.
Something different to do on a Friday evening
The evening promises to be both fun and informative and is expected to run as follows:
7pm | Open sparkling wine and masterclass starts |
7.10pm | Sparkling wine tasting and cooking demonstration begins |
7.30pm | Tasting the white wine with and without food |
8.15pm | Tasting the red wine with and without food |
8.30pm | Tasting the dessert wine with and without the pear tarte tatin |
8.40pm | Further presentation on the wines and ask the experts Q&A session |
9pm | Masterclass finishes |
EXTENDING THE INVITE TO GUESTS
Clients have previously asked if they could extend the invite to their friends and family. If you’d like to do this, then we’d be delighted for your guests to join the fun. They can either register for the Zoom and order the wine themselves or you can do this on their behalf. Please note that separate orders will need to be placed when ordering the wine online. Alternatively, you can call Ellis Wines on 020 8744 5585 who’ll arrange this for you (they’re available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).
SHARE YOUR MASTER CREATIONS AND WIN THE festive WINE TASTiNG BOX
We’d love to see the dishes that you create on the night. We’re therefore running a competition to find the most impressive creation. Simply photograph your dishes and email them to ~CouttsEvents@coutts.com telling us what you particularly enjoyed about the dish, by midnight on 15 November 2020, to be in with the chance of winning all four wines from our festive wine tasting for you to enjoy again! The competition is open to everyone over 18 who has registered for the masterclass and who is UK resident. There’s one prize available.
Redeem your Coutts Crowns for the masterclass
If you’re a Coutts Silk cardholder and you hold over 35,000 Coutts Crowns, you can exchange them for the wine tasting. If you’d like the wine plus the Skyline Garden Cookbook you’ll need 50,000 Crowns. Details about how to do this can be found below.
You can also use your Crowns to redeem the wine (and Cookbook) for friends and family. To do this, you’ll simply need to change the delivery address when you redeem your Crowns (you’ll need to submit multiple orders to redeem more than one case of wine).
