Top recommended restaurants in London
Peter Fiori, our Executive Chef, shares his favourite London restaurants, compiling a list of recommendations that charts every tastebud on the capital’s culinary compass.
The Ritz Restaurant, Piccadilly
A stalwart of classic silver service and fine dining. The Ritz boasts a Michelin star and French haute cuisine. Their Head Chef, John Williams, is President of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.
Bancone, Covent Garden
Italian with fresh hand made pasta all made inhouse. It’s a really busy and vibrant place that reflects the buzz of its Covent Garden setting – perfect for a pre-show supper.
Gunpowder, Spitalfields Market
Indian with a difference and distinctly original East End dining. They have other restaurants in Soho and Tower Bridge but the subtle and small set up in Spitalfields is my favourite.
The Delaunay, Aldwych
Very beautiful building both inside and outside that sets you up for a traditional Bavarian café-style dining experience. Another classic blend of service and sincerity.
Chez Bruce, Wandsworth
Modern European restaurant whose founder, Bruce Poole, boasted a Michelin star for many, many years. It’s a favourite of my old mentor Albert Roux. Cracking food and a cracking chef.
Coya, Mayfair
A stunning Peruvian restaurant with a range of ceviches and traditional dishes. Beautifully crafted dishes which complement a stylish interior.
Nobu, Shoreditch
One of the more relaxed editions of the high-end global Japanese brand. The fusion on the menu brings the best of the Nobu experience to London.
Noble Rot, Bloomsbury
Wine bar with Parisian style food, very good wines and really energetic vibe. Suitably hidden away, it’s a real gem of a restaurant.
The Devonshire, Soho
Amazing modern British cuisine among central London’s party neighbourhood. Great atmosphere means it’s always busy and the pub and the restaurant are both rightly very popular.
Dim Sum Duck, King’s Cross
A Cantonese walk-in restaurant with no bookings available – you’ll often see queues but the wait is worth it. It’s very authentic and the food is a great homage to its Asian heritage.
Brindisa, Battersea
One of London’s best Spanish and seasonal tapas. There are a few in the city but the setting right on the waterfront of the new Battersea Power Station development makes this my favourite.
We are so much more than a bank. We are trusted friends, partners and advisers, and a business with purpose.
